About Rose Garden
The Zakir Hussain Rose Garden, located in Chandigarh, is Asia’s largest rose garden. Spread over 30 acres, it features more than 1,600 species of roses, fountains, and walking paths. It is a popular spot for nature lovers, photographers, and tourists, especially during the annual rose festival.
History & Significance
The Rose Garden was established in 1967 and named after India’s former President, Dr. Zakir Hussain. It was developed to promote horticulture and provide a green space for relaxation. Over the years, the garden has become an iconic landmark of Chandigarh.
